Safeguarding
At Belmont Academy, safeguarding and the welfare of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, caring and inclusive environment where all children are protected, listened to and supported to thrive.
We take our responsibility to safeguard children seriously. All staff share a duty to identify and respond to concerns about a child’s safety or wellbeing, and we work closely with parents, carers and relevant external agencies where necessary.
Our safeguarding procedures are regularly reviewed to ensure they reflect current statutory guidance and best practice. We are committed to creating a culture where every child feels safe, happy, valued and able to speak out.
Our Safeguarding Policy for September 2026 can be found here.
From September 2026, new statutory guidance on allergy awareness and anaphylaxis in schools came into effect. We have updated our Allergy and Anaphylaxis Policy to reflect this guidance and help keep our pupils safe.
